Caring for Children is Our Specialty

At Appleseed Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, we provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care for your child in a small independent practice setting, from birth to young adulthood.

After many years of working in different practice settings, we recognized the need for a more personalized approach to pediatric care. We set out to build a small practice where we can spend time with our patients and families and maintain the personal connections that are so vital to your child’s health, growth and development. We opened our doors in August 2021 and are excited to share our vision with you!

We utilize the latest technology, including a pediatric-specific electronic health record and state of the art in-house rapid diagnostic testing, to bring up-to-date care to your child.  Being an independent practice, we can be more nimble in responding to our patients’ needs.

Experience

Our providers have been practicing in our community and have over 50 years combined experience.

Continuity of Care

We recognize the importance of having direct access to your medical provider who personally knows you and your family the best. Your child will have one provider who will consistently see them for every well child visit.

Safety

Because we take the safety and health of your child seriously, our office has separate sick and well entrances and exam rooms. All our staff are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Specialty Care

We are part of the Connecticut Children’s Physician Network, which helps us provide the highest-quality care to your child through more efficient communication, collaboration, and access to speciality care at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and The Village for Families and Children.

Pediatric Services

As pediatricians, we receive special training in the health and well-being of infants, children, teens, and young adults. We provide general preventive health care including vaccinations, developmental, vision and hearing screenings, fluoride varnish and tests for anemia, lead levels and cholesterol. In addition, we provide general guidance on behavior and development, growth, safety, nutrition and emotional wellness to foster a lifetime of good health.

We also provide care for chronic illnesses, such as asthma, ADHD, anxiety and depression as well as for acute illnesses such as cold or COVID symptoms, rashes, sprained ankles and more. We do rapid/in-office tests for COVID (rapid PCR), Influenza, RSV, strep, urine tests for pregnancy and urinary tract infections (UTI). We pierce ears too.
